Est. 1920 · Fall River, Massachusetts
For over a hundred years, Portuguese Madeirense Sport Club has been the living room of Fall River — where the coffee is poured with care, the conversations run deep, and every guest is treated like family.
Our Story
Founded in 1920 by Portuguese immigrants from the island of Madeira, Portuguese Madeirense Sport Club began as a gathering place for working men who shared a love of sport and a longing for home. What started as a modest hall has grown into one of Fall River's most enduring institutions — a club where generations have celebrated birthdays, watched games, and found comfort in familiar faces.
Today, the spirit remains unchanged. We serve traditional Portuguese coffee, homemade pastries, and hearty meals in a space that feels like walking into someone's kitchen — only everyone here is happy you stopped by.
